Ilya Zhuravel, viola
Ilya was born in Moscow, Russia. He studied music in Russia, the Netherlands (the Maastricht Conservatory of Music) and the US (the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music). Upon moving to Israel, he developed a solid orchestra career, playing under the baton of Zubin Mehta, Herbert Blomstedt, Frederick Chaslin and Omer Wellber, among others. In addition to his current position as an Assistant Principal Violist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, he organizes music events and is the founder of Primarius.
Tomoko Malkin, violin
Tomoko hails from Kobe, Japan. Upon completing studies at the Soai University in Osaka she received a scholarship from the prestigious Toho Orchestra Academy. Tomoko perfomed as a freelance musician with many major Japanese orchestras and for seven years was a member of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2012 she has been playing first violin with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.
Dmitry Malkin, oboe
The oboist Dmitry Malkin was born in the Ukraine and moved to Israel at the age of 13. A graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem, Dmitry continued his studies at the Manhattan School of Music. Dmitry has performed with the Verbier Festival Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. He also held the position of principal oboist with the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra (Japan) and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Since 2017 he is a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Rivka Arki Amar, harp
Born in France, Rivka moved to Israel as a child and studied music at the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem. Rivka is pursuing a diverse career, having established herself as a recitalist in high demand, as well as a teacher and a guest harpist with a number of Israeli orchestras. She has released two CDs with music dedicated to Jerusalem.
